Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into a Cooperation Agreement with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA") to receive $500,000.00 in Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development grant funds for administrative and operating costs of the Green Up Pittsburgh program.  
 
Body
Whereas, pursuant to Resolution 691 of 2007, the City authorized the URA to file a Single Application for Assistance for a grant in the amount of up to $6,800,000 with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development ("DCED") for various programming, including housing and business development and the Green Up Pittsburgh program and for the administration thereof; and
 
Whereas, Resolution 681 of 2007 authorized the City and the URA to enter into a Cooperation Agreement to provide for the designation of the matching local share of such project costs; and
 
Whereas, the City and URA now wish to enter into a second Cooperation Agreement specifically setting forth the terms and conditions for the City to expend $500,000.00 of  the said DCED grant funds for its Green Up program.    
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      The Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby authorized to enter into a Cooperation Agreement with the URA setting forth the terms and conditions for the City to expend Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) in DCED grant money to be used for the City's Green Up Pittsburgh program and providing for the transfer of the funds from URA to the City.  
 
Monies coming directly to the City shall be deposited into the following account: PR10035, Fund 2940, Org 107000,Budget Year 2009, Account 450500.
 
The Cooperation Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor.
