Title

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      The Mayor and the Manager of the Equal Opportunity Review Commission, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements, contract or contracts in a form approved by the City Solicitor, of providing pre-apprenticeship training to members of under represented ethnic groups into the building trades. The purpose is to assist in developing careers in the TRADE UNIONS for individuals who otherwise do not have the resources or training to enter into unions because of various barriers.  Said agreement or agreements shall not exceed FIFTY  THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000) and is chargeable to and payable from        the 2007 Community Block Development Grant Program, Department of City Planning, Minority and Women Education Labor Agency Citizen Participation Project No. 500000-2610-108350-C2007-2267350-2007.
