NEGATIVE RECOMMENDATION

Title

Providing for the creation of the Police Salaries Outstanding Warrant Trust Fund (PSOWTF) and setting conditions for the deposit and expenditure of such funds.

Body

Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.      That the City Controller is hereby authorized and directed to create a trust fund entitled "the Police Salaries Outstanding Warrant Trust Fund (PSOWTF)" into which shall be deposited all revenue received from the "Outstanding Warrant Collection" program that shall be developed by the Chief Administrator of the Magistrates Court and the Solicitor.

Section 2.      Any such funds accumulated may be expended only to pay for the salaries of police officers who have been laid off due to city funding issues.
