Resolution directing and authorizing the Mayor, the Director of Finance, the City Controller and the Paymaster to retroactively pay all city employees (part and full-time) a Living Wage as per Council's Final Budget.
Body
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. .The Mayor, the Director of Finance, the City Controller and the Paymaster are hereby authorized and directed to retroactively pay all city employees (part-time and full-time), that are not receiving a rate of pay that equals or exceeds the Living Wage, as determined by the Living Wage Ordinance, an amount that equals the difference between their current rate of pay and the amount contained within Council's final 2002 budget for the period of time that they have worked this year, and further to extend the rate of pay equaling or exceeding the Living Wage that is contained in Council's final budget for the remainder of the year.
