Title
Resolution authorizing the filing of an application for federal assistance with the U.S. Department of Transportation for up to $17,000,000 in TIGER IV funds for the development and construction of the East Liberty Transit Center/Transit Oriented Development project (Council District 8).
Body
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      The Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby authorized to execute and file an application for federal assistance, certifications, assurances and related necessary or appropriate documents required by the U.S. Department of Transportation ("DOT") for a $17,000,000 TIGER IV Grant for the development and construction of the East Liberty Transit Center/Transit Oriented Development project.
 
Section 2.      Upon approval by DOT of the application, the Mayor, on behalf of the City, is authorized to execute a grant agreement and any other necessary or appropriate documents required by DOT in connection with the TIGER IV - East Liberty Transit Center/Transit Oriented Development Project Grant, which agreements shall be in a form approved by the City Solicitor.
 
Section 3.      Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA") is hereby designated as the City's agent for administration of the TIGER IV - East Liberty Transit Center/Transit Oriented Development Project Grant and is authorized to draw down funds directly from DOT, and the Executive Director of URA is authorized to sign all invoices, payment applications and/or requisitions and any other necessary or appropriate documents on behalf of the City as its agent.
