Title

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      Whereas, the City of Pittsburgh intends to apply to the U.S. Department of Transporation ("DOT") Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery ("TIGER IV Grant in an amount up to $17,000,000 for the development and construction of the East Liberty Transit Center/Transit Oriented Development project (the "Project"); and
 
      Whereas, the City desires to designate the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh as its agent to administer the Project and to receive funds directly from DOT if a grant is awarded;
 
      Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
      Section 1.      The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a TIGER IV Grant Cooperation Agreement with Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA"), in a form approved by the City Solicitor, designating URA as the City's agent for administration of a $17,000,000 Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery ("TIGER IV) Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation for the development and construction of the East Liberty Transit Center/Transit Oriented Development project, requiring compliance by URA with federal program requirements, providing for the disbursement of Program funds to URA, and authorizing the Executive Director of URA to sign all invoices, payment applications and requisitions and any other necessary or appropriate documents on behalf of the City as its agent.
